386 miles via TX 183, TX 71 and I-10 with two rest and refueling stops. Cumulative miles: 1635. About 10 miles were due to a wrong turn at the start of the TX 71 segment and a navigational error by yours truly that took us to the wrong hotel. Oops.
This was an easy hop in terms of navigation (except for the wrong turn which I just don’t understand – we were in the right lane and then, suddenly, we were going west instead of east) and the weather was fine, but it was still a long day of travel. We continued to listen to Stephen King’s Billy Summers, which we are both enjoying very much.
An unexpected sight was a herd of galloping zebras as we passed FreBo Ranch. Not something you see every day.
