2023 blog booklet
2023 was a year of extensive travel, though none of the travel was by RV. The amount of travel and the large number of photos posted in the blog necessitated breaking the booklet into two sections: 2023-1: Includes the transatlantic cruise (TC2) and the auto trip north (TN9) 2023-2: Includes the auto trip south (TS9), … Continue reading
TC2 Day 8: At sea
Our final day before landing in the Azores. It was a bit cool – low 70s – but was a very fine day overall. We had leisurely meals and met some nice folks. In the afternoon we spent nearly 2 hours in the hot tub, talking to some lovely women, plus one son. We lost … Continue reading
2022 blog booklet
The 2022 blog booklet is now available online. I am on the fence about printing this as it is expensive to do so. If you want a hard copy, send me a request, please. Creating this booklet was emotionally draining as it required me to revisit my tumultuous relationship with Ooma. I put her on … Continue reading
1,000 and counting
I just noticed that I have passed the 1,000 mark in the number of posts that I have made in this blog. I believe this is 1,009. Not a big deal, but worth noting. I suppose I should have a drink to celebrate. Maybe several.
2021 blog booklet
2021 was my first full year of travel without Jett. It had the seventh trips north and south (TN7 and TS7) plus the December cruise (PCL2). If you want the year in booklet form you can get it here.
The blog about nothing
With apologies to Seinfeld – the “show about nothing.” Well, a lot of people seemed to like the nothingness of that show, so I will list a few of the “nothing” things that I have done in my first month at my home base in Ft Myers: I got Rusty professionally groomed. He no longer … Continue reading
“Sometimes I Lie” by Alice Feeney
Copyright 2018 by Alice Feeney. Published by Flatiron Books, New York. Occasionally I read a book that I admire but have a hard time recommending. This is one of them. The problems I have with the book are (1) there are no likable characters and (2) I found the jumping around in time – from … Continue reading
2020 blog booklet
2020 was a disastrous year, but the booklet, as I realized as I was assembling it, is fairly upbeat, largely because of the wonderful 2-week cruise early in the year. Anyway, if you want the PDF you can get it here:
Blog booklets 2017-2019 (TTN, NET, STW, STE, TN4, TS4, TN5)
It appears that I never posted links to the blog booklets from 2017 through 2019. I correct that omission here. Tip: to find booklets for earlier years, use the Search box in the right panel. Enter “booklets” and you should get a list with all of the posts containing the PDF links.
A laptop death in the family
My laptop died 4 days ago. It was working fine, with about half the battery time remaining. I closed the top and put it on the charger. An hour later I took it off the charger and tried to start it. Nothing. Put it back on the charger but the light indicating that it was … Continue reading »
